CREATIVE PRACTICE

Art and Books

Having often been told that my art wasn’t ‘good enough’, I have found immense solace in the idea of Bad Art. Over time, I’ve also come to believe that art isn’t just about making things. It shows up in quieter ways too. In planning a day around it, arranging objects in ways that feel joyful, or watching a friend pick up a balloon and start drawing caricatures. Art finds its way into everything around me, and I try to hold as much space for it as I can. This gallery is one way of giving it some of that space here, and a warm invitation for you to pick up a crayon too!

Books

I’m shaped by the books I’ve read. Some of them have meant so much to me that I can’t help but wish more people read them.
